Germocid Basic is an alcohol-based disinfectant cleaner for non-invasive medical devices.

The high percentage of alcohol associated with the antiseptic Chlorhexidine and Quaternary Ammonium Salt, ensure a rapid and prolonged protection against viruses (including HIV, HBV and HCV), TBC, Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria and fungi.

Chlorhexidine reacts with negatively charged groups present on the cell surface in contact with the bacterial suspension, therefore is immediately absorbed, causing an irreversible loss of components of the cytoplasm with damage to the membrane and enzyme inhibition.

Quaternary Ammonium Salt reduces the surface tension at the point of contact and causes changes in the bacterial cytoplasmic membrane enzyme.

The high alcohol content allows a better conservation of the formulation, enhances the antibacterial properties of the active ingredients and ensures a greater detergent and degreasing effect.
